28 MAY - maid to order

Quiet Time: James 2:14-20
"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?" Faith without works is dead. Our parents know our Christian faith, and they also see our faith through our testimony at home? Do we talk politely & patiently with them? Do we help out in the household chores? Let’s walk our talk at home, then they can know our faith in Jesus is real. So we started off with the habit of doing household chores & tidying at Mother ShanYu & HuiBin’s houses and also at Emmaus Lodge.

Reporting from Shanyu's house:
Kids love Jeremy and Weng Soon!!! Next time anyone needs baby-sitter, it's none other than the two of them. Anyone needs help to clean windows and vacuum the floor, Weng soon is the man for it. He can do anything that he's call to. Charges? Shouldn't be too high!? We ended off with praying for Shanyu and the children. Pray along with us too that mother Shanyu will be quick to be still whenever she has quiet moments.
Reporting from Huibin's house: Cleaning up the house and dusting the shelves and packing toys and arranging books. Together with the help of little Le en. Followed by a fellowship with mother Huibin. You can pray along with us that Huibin can have bible-reading with the children. Olivia has decided to start cleaning up her room on her own accord!!! Reporting from EL: Tough work! From the big hall to the library shelves to the logistic area. But no worries for 3 strong guys. Look at the result and you'll know.

Tht's cool! I remb when i m on a break, also had a 'be a maid' project. Think u EYFers must ve had fun trying to be 'guai guai' boys n gals helping up w the cleaning up ya! hee.. Indeed faith w/o works is dead. Learn to live as a testimony at hm, in helping ur parents up so that 'In the same way, let ur light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven' (Matt5:16). Jia you! :p *oops sorry deleted the previous post*

WOW!! i think it is really a good idea to help clean up other ppl's houses.. (hint hint: mine is open for you to come and wipe) I am learning to mop my house 2x a week too! Really struggled very hard cos always glued to the sofa. Well, i believe my family members can feel that i am doing to my best to keep the house clean. So, continue to be a testimony at home. Cleaning your table and setting your bed after you wake is a good start. Jia you!!!

Hi guys,
I believe it must be hard work to clean other ppl's house, except our houses. Maybe this is a gd training ground for us to do household chores for our parents that they will be pleased. Yr parents will wonder what had changed them? Of course, it must be the love of Christ!

Wah... the site looks really good. Good job, siblings!

Awww... it makes me miss my times in EYF. A really precious structure so that we can live by Ecc 12:1. So dear younger siblings, you must treasure this time that you spend with one another during this time, cuz you won't be able to when you start working!

Reminds me that I should pack my stuff as well :x
