Museum in the Noon

We tried our best to be creative....
After being inspired.....
QUIET TIME BY THE POOL
We were at some exotic and picturesque place. There, to enjoy reading and listening to God's word, with the cool breeze beating against our face. And the calm, blue water was just before our eyes. Engulfed by God's beautiful creation, isn't this the most wonderful place to enjoy the
presence of God?
Back to REALITY! I guess we all wished to be transported to a different place, which explains why we were eagerly trying to capture a spot which perhaps took us away from the humid and warm shelter where we would be reading the bible later.
Well so much for the place. We did enjoy the time of reading the bible and praying with one another.
"We can rejoice too when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance." Romans 5:3
We recalled the sufferings we were facing in life. Weiting and Joshua were reminded to walk by faith and not by sight as they prepare to accomplish their noble missions in life - to sit for their 'A' Level and 'O' Level.

MUSEUM TOUR
The 2 groups enjoyed themselves at the Singapore National Museum, particulary the exhibits by Matthew Ngui: Points of View. They were tasked to decipher hidden messages written on about 50 PVC pipes widely spaced apart. And the broken chair was rather fascinating too. Viewed only from a certain angle, would you get the chair in its well-constructed condition.
Has everyone acquired the taste for the Arts? It has yet to end. The groups were treated to a sumptuous meal of raw vegetables. Imagine having that every meal 24/7? Away from my favourite fried chicken wings. Life can't be more miserable.
Similarly, there are some things in our Christian faith that we need to acquire the taste for. We don't have a natural liking for reading and meditating on the Word of God and spending time to pray. To acquire a taste for something probably takes a long time and consistent effort. The question is why bother to acquire the taste for these disciplines? We read Hebrews 12: 10-11 and Proverbs 3:11-12. We learnt that disciplines will produce holiness and the peaceful fruit of righteousness. This means that we can be in a right condition to be accepted by God! We can act, think and feel rightly. And if the process if painful, let's not forget that it is a lovingly father who is disciplining us and not someone with the intentions to harm us. Continue to acquire the taste for spiritual things!
