Sports/Games with Friends (3 Dec' 08)

After the sports/games with the friends on 3 Dec'08:

Reflections:

Have I loved God with all my heart, with all my mind and with all my soul today?

e.g. my attitude in coming today, my thoughts as i talked and played with the friends, my actions/interactions with the friends... does it reflect my expression of loving God?

Brothers:
- I'm conscious of the frens when I'm playing. Invited frens for carolling
- Made the effort to get to know the friends, to build a relationship with both new and old friends
- Nope. Attitude is wrong, not well-prepared to share and relate with friends. Thoughts not focused on the friends and advancement of the gospel all the time.

Sisters:
- I remembered that I must seize every opportunity to build friendship with a friend who came so i learnt to die to myself in playing card games and badminton as an expression of loving my God.

Am I able to apply the skills I learnt from the various equipping workshops?

Brothers:
- No, very hard to share conversational evangelism
- No, no chance.
- Yes.

Sisters:
- I was more consious of sharing the gospel processed-ly with the friend. Though no details of the gospel point was shared, a sister and I tried to provoke the thoughts of the friend, from a buddhist background, in causing her to see that God is our Lord. The next step with her will be to share about God is our creator that's why he is our Lord.

How have i made a difference for eternity(however big or small ways) in the lives of the friends today?

Brothers:
- No, i did not share the gospel to them.
- No, just build relationships. Hopefully when i know them better.
- I hope yes - shared about Jesus' name & what it meant.

Sisters:
-I hope that little step is made.

My Prayers (for myself & for the friends)?

Brothers:
- Acts 20:24, and for the friends to come for carolling and game city.
- That the relationships i build will not just be for friendship but also count for eternity. For the friends to come for carolling event.
- Passion for the work that God commanded, joy in the knowledge that i'm serving God. For more opportunity to share with Kah Yeow, Alvin and Yaohui (EBS).

Sisters:
- The burden and compassion for each friend that comes will increase and i will be focused on their souls and salvation and not myself. I must die to myself more and more. Prayer for all the friends who came - that they will encounter Christ through each of us and whether they stay/leave, they are brought a step closer to God and the gospel.

Thanksgiving!

- Thank God for the courage to talk and share with the friends. Thank God for their friendly response.
- For the friends who came and the relationship built.
- Many friends turn up that gave us a huge pool of contact.
