Hear the call of the kingdom
Lift your eyes to the King
Let His song rise within you
As a fragrant offering
Of how God rich in mercy
Came in Christ to redeem
All who trust in His unfailing grace
Hear the call of the Kingdom
To be children of light
With the mercy of heaven
The humility of Christ
Walking justly before Him
Loving all that is right
That the life of Christ may shine through us
(Chorus)
King of Heaven we will answer the call
We will follow bringing hope to the world
Filled with passion, filled with power to proclaim
Salvation in Jesus' name
Hear the call of the Kingdom
To reach out to the lost
With the Father's compassion
In the wonder of the cross
Bringing peace and forgiveness
And a hope yet to come
Let the nations put their trust in Him
Some Recaps & Reflections from those who were at the session:
From a sister:
"Gospel sharing can't be just limited to one/two methods, that's why learning new skills and methods to engage or to start sharing the gosepl is important. With the skIlls I learnt, I can teach others as well as applying what i learnt in future outreach."
Another EYFer:
"These gospel sharing techniques may be new to some, and familar to others but what is really important is to practice them.
Something I noted for the EYFers who were at the session is that while we fumble with the new skills learnt, many of us are not able to adequately link the techniques to the gospel. Either we are so used to having aids like Bridge to Life where the words are there for us to read or we have not internalise the gospel ourselves. The gospel still remains a "5-pointer" gospel, and not a "life-transforming" gospel that fills us.
We really need to 'get in shape' if we want to gospel shakers! We cannot be 'shakers' that get 'stuck'! "
Reflections from Xiuping:
"i realise during the session too that if we put more thoughts to the tricks that we learn, it can actually better reach different groups of people, not just one trick 打天下. Example, like the ring one talks about coming into a church as a family and its good to be "applied" on those whom we know have problem with that (not limited to just outreach time).
Then the knots one is suitable for those who have problem with sin, which may not quite suitable for people who thinks they are "good" ... i was thinking of this in the context of the chinese people whom i will meet in Macau who are intellectuals and find themselves not having sins. Then the approach might be slightly different."
Uncle Edward says:
"Besides the skills that I have learned, I was reminded that every time when I share the gospel, the gospel must be the central of the attraction, not the tricks I performed, not the tools that I used because all these are just garnish. For it is the gospel that has and is still changing my life.
Oh, I am amazed and inspired by how Mr. Rob George is able to use many different objects to share the gospel, even thru Rubik’s cube."
